On September 25th Concord Rotarians volunteered their time to help out at Gaining Ground. Jeanne Armocida, Sharon Spaulding and Ann Trudeau worked hard pulling out tomato plants, and planting spinach. They didn't let the rainy weather slow them down! Gaining Ground, a nonprofit organic farm in Concord, Massachusetts, grows vegetables and fruit with the help of several thousand community volunteers and donates all of this fresh food to area meal programs and food pantries.
The Rotary Club of Concord has volunteered for years, supporting Gaining Ground's mission to combat food insecurity in Massachusetts.
